The mission of the Clarendon Hills Park District is to provide well-maintained, safe, active and passive recreational spaces through sound environment management; to provide programs in consideration of the needs of our diverse community which support the health and wellness of individuals as well as the community; increase awareness and respect for our environment and allow for athletic participation at all levels; and to work within the community’s financial limitations while fostering cooperative relationships whenever possible. General Information - The Clarendon Hills Park District was founded in 1946 and currently has eight park sites totaling approximately 45 acres of recreation space. Existing parks include: Prospect, Hosek, Blackhawk, Park Avenue, Walker, Steeves, Kruml and the Lions Park Pool. The Community Center is the administration building for the Park District and houses a majority of the recreation programs and events. The Park District has a strong working relationship with School District 181 to increase recreation space for programs. The Park District offers a variety of programs and events a year to the community from early childhood to senior interests. All information on Clarendon Hills Park District programs and facilities are published in the District’s brochure three times a year; Winter/Spring, Summer and Fall. All dates, times, locations and descriptions are contained within these brochures. These brochures are mailed to all Clarendon Hills Park District residents.
